In late summer 2026, you’ll be able to go to The Moon to experience the arts! The Moon – the City of Huntsville’s Sandra Moon Community Complex – is the site of the former Grissom High School, which is already home to the new South Huntsville Library and beautiful outdoor recreation facilities.

At the start of 2024, Arts Huntsville assumed management of The Moon’s renovated performing arts wing, with office and rehearsal facilities for Huntsville’s nonprofit performing arts groups. Coming in 2026, The Moon’s 611-seat proscenium theatre and expanded performance facilities will welcome audiences to this vibrant new community venue in South Huntsville.
The Moon currently provides office space to five nonprofit organizations. Offices range in size from 130 sf to 600 sf and include a shared breakroom and meeting areas. Resident groups also utilize the two rehearsal rooms for year-round rehearsals.
