Arts Huntsville is ready to present a scaled back version of the Monte Sano Art Festival and and welcome approximately 100 of the region’s talented visual artists to the beautiful Monte Sano State Park! We can’t wait for you to join us and hope you’ll walk away with a piece of art (or several!) to enliven your home, garden, or office.
If you plan to join us, here’s what you need to know:
When is the festival?
Saturday, September 12th, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 13th, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Monte Sano State Park. Explore this year’s artists here.
Is the festival free?
YES…but Monte Sano State Park charges $10 per car for parking or $5 per person for walk-ins – cash only. This money goes directly to supporting our beautiful state parks.
Do I need to wear a mask?
YES…due to Covid-19, we will be enforcing a mask mandate. We will have additional masks on-hand should you need one.
Do I need to bring cash?
YES! Monte Sano State Park will only take cash payment for parking. However, most artists accept card and we will have an ATM inside the festival.
Can we bring our dogs?
YES! Leashed pets are welcome. Of course, we ask that your pup can handle being around large groups of people, other dogs, kids, and delicate (and sometimes expensive) artwork. Many artists will have a “you break it, you buy it” policy.
Is it a kid-friendly event?
Will there be food?
YES! We know all that shopping can work up an appetite. We’ll announce this year’s food vendors closer to the festival!
Can I follow the festival on social media?
PLEASE DO! Follow Arts Huntsville on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest Monte Sano Art Festival updates and be sure to tag us @artshuntsville and use the #montesanoartfestival tag for your photos throughout the weekend! We’d love to see them and share!
Questions once you get into the park? Find us at the Info Booth, located at the Pavilion in the center of the festival.
