Moondust Big Band

Moondust Big Band was established in 2007 in the footsteps of the
Charlie Lyle Big Band to preserve and continue a long tradition of
providing great live, fully instrumented Big Band and Swing music in
the Tennessee Valley. We feature classic Big Band and contemporary
Jazz Orchestra material from artists such as Duke Ellington, Count
Basie, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band, Jazz
At Lincoln Center Orchestra, Bob Mintzer, and many more. Our feature
vocalists Dave McConnell and Criss Ashwell add a special touch by
singing classics by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald, and
many other greats.

Moondust has recorded two albums, the self-titled “Moondust Big
Band”, and “The Vocal Tunes – Moondust Big Band” featuring
Dave McConnell and Criss Ashwell. Both albums were produced by
Startlingly
Fresh Records.
