Allen Watkins Band

The Allen Watkins Band is a North Alabama-based acoustic and Americana group known for original music and creative covers. Their sound blends bluegrass, folk, blues, and Celtic influences.

The band consists of four primary members:

1. Allen Watkins (Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Bass): A three-time Alabama State Champion for finger-style guitar. He is a veteran of the touring bluegrass scene who has played with Claire Lynch, Whetstone Run, and Lonesome River Band.
2. Connie Watkins (Rhythm Guitar, Mandolin): A singer-songwriter who plays alongside Allen and has released her own solo EP titled “Dakotah Landing”.
3. Joe Parker (Upright Bass): A musician with nearly 40 years of bass experience who adds a jazz and blues touch to the band’s rhythm section.
4. Garrett Smith (Violin / Fiddle): A classically trained violinist who has performed with the Huntsville Symphony and local Celtic groups like Black Market Haggis.
