Public Art

Arts Huntsville is working to incorporate public art throughout the community, increasing the livability, walkability and desirability of our neighborhoods while buoying overall quality of life. From the Geode sculpture on the UAHuntsville campus to the Bench Project with benches around the city and the community-wide sculpture tour, SPACES, launched in 2010, we are spreading public art for all to appreciate in their very own neighborhoods. In 2012, the SPACES Sculpture Trail expanded by 25%, becoming the largest revolving sculpture trail in Alabama. Today, the 2016 iteration of the trail features 39 sculptures by 22 artists from 12 states, bringing art out into the open across 9 sites throughout Huntsville and Madison.

Every year we are working to add new Public Art programming. Stay tuned for details about this year’s updates!

Arts Huntsville encourages residents to join our efforts to expand public art in Huntsville/Madison County. Contact us for details about how you can help.
