We Are – Arts Huntsville

After 53 years serving the greater Huntsville metropolitan region, we have changed our name to Arts Huntsville. Our mission has long been to promote and support the arts, entertainment and cultural sector in the greater metropolitan region, and now, as Arts Huntsville, we want to ensure greater local, regional and national engagement with our incredibly vibrant and growing arts scene.

“While we honor our history as The Arts Council, we recognize that we are not an elected government body nor an exclusive organization. We can more effectively market our great regional arts scene as Arts Huntsville,” said Arts Huntsville Executive Director Alison Dillon-Jauken.

Becoming Arts Huntsville

In Summer 2015, we partnered with Media Fusion to conduct extensive market research, including community surveys, focus groups and interviews with key community leaders. We discovered Arts Huntsville’s rebranding is a natural step for our organization, which has been found online as artshuntsville.org for the past 15 years. Along with our new tagline, “Celebrating the Creative Side,” the rebranding encompasses the breadth and variety of the greater Huntsville metro region’s professional and avocational creative community.
