Arts Huntsville is ready to take over Monte Sano State Park and welcome 150 of the region’s talented visual artists to our beautiful mountain! We can’t wait for you to join us and hope you’ll walk away with a piece of art (or several!) to enliven your home, garden, or office.
If you plan to join us, here’s what you need to know:
When is the festival?
Saturday, September 21st, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 22nd, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Monte Sano State Park. Explore last year’s artists here.
Is the festival free?
YES…but Monte Sano State Park charges $10 per car for parking or $5 per person for walk-ins – cash only. This money goes directly to supporting our beautiful state parks.
Do I need to bring cash?
YES! Monte Sano State Park will only take cash payment for parking. However, most artists accept card and we will have an ATM inside the festival.
Can we bring our dogs?
YES! Leashed pets are welcome. Of course, we ask that your pup can handle being around large groups of people, other dogs, kids, and delicate (and sometimes expensive) artwork. Many artists will have a “you break it, you buy it” policy.
Is it a kid-friendly event?
OF COURSE! In past year’s we’ve offered kids activities, courtesy our supporting sponsor Spirited Art. They have offered free kids activities as well as $25 sit-down art classes to occupy your kids while you shop! Learn more here.
Will there be food?
YES! We know all that shopping can work up an appetite. We’ll announce this year’s food vendors closer to the festival!
How do I get into the VIP Suite?
Entrance to the VIP Suite, featuring wine & beer tastings courtesy Church Street Wine Shoppe and Straight to Ale are a benefit to our sponsors and Arts Huntsville donors. If you would like to donate to Arts Huntsville and learn about the benefits of becoming a member of our Patrons Circle, click here.
Can I follow the festival on social media?
PLEASE DO! Follow Arts Huntsville on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest Monte Sano Art Festival updates and be sure to tag us @artshuntsville and use the #montesanoartfestival tag for your photos throughout the weekend! We’d love to see them and share!
