The Monte Sano Art Festival will be back on Monte Sano Mountain the third weekend of September 2019.

Monte Sano Art Festival will be held September 21 and 22, 2019

Monte Sano Art Festival Hours are:
Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 22 from 9:00am – 4:00 p.m.

The festival is free to attend, but Monte Sano State Park will charge $10 per car for parking. Cash only.

The Monte Sano Art Festival has been an enjoyed tradition in Huntsville, Alabama for seventeen years. In 2019, we will continue to feature more than 140 of the region’s finest artists in an array of wonderful media. Along with the outdoor festival exhibitors, 2019 will welcome local food trucks and musicians throughout the park. This festival is always a highlight of the arts calendar!

Monte Sano Art Festival features the best in regional art from 150 artists representing a variety of disciplines and techniques, from woodworking to painting, pottery, fiber arts, metal work, jewelry, photography, glasswork and more.

The History of Monte Sano Art Festival

The Monte Sano Art Show originated in 1999 when Debra Simpson, an artist residing in the Monte Sano Community, wished to establish a show in an outdoor setting. With a group of friends, Debra made plans for the first show which was held on October 30, 1999 in the parking lot of the Monte Sano Assessment and Enrichment Center at 820 Monte Sano Blvd.
