Emily Wilson is talented local artist creating nature themed wall sculptures featuring colorful wooden birds, fish, floral, and foliage components on lyrical steel armatures.
Emily was born in Memphis but relocated to Huntsville in early childhood, and her passion for art blossomed during those years. The surrounding natural landscape provided her with abundant opportunities to explore, with access to woods, springs, and creeks. Emily freely roamed the hills, immersing herself in the beauty of the area and gaining knowledge of woodland wildflowers.
During her early teenage years, Emily developed a fascination with collecting fossils, turtle shells, and unique feathers discovered during her hikes. Within her household, creativity and the visual arts were actively nurtured and encouraged. Her fortunate experiences with nature played a pivotal role in shaping her artistic path, ultimately leading her to pursue a career as a sculptor.
