Theatre Huntsville (TH) presents our Main Stage Subscription Season at the Von Braun Center Playhouse, running from September through July. TH performs 7 shows of each production over two consecutive weekends.
Theatre Huntsville is committed to bringing the highest level of artistic quality to our stage – producing new and classic works. TH is a charter member of The Arts Council, and is very active in promoting the arts in Huntsville. As a member of the American Association of Community Theatres and the Alabama Conference of Theatre, we stay connected to other theatres around the country for increased artistic awareness and best practices.
Auditions are open to the entire community, encouraging new and emerging artists to participate alongside seasoned performers. There are many new faces on our stage every year, as well as novice technicians back stage. TH has numerous volunteers that have worked as professional actors, technicians and musicians both in Huntsville and other markets. The seasoned artists elevate the quality of our productions and allow in-house training of our emerging artists. The growth of working professionals in the arts will help the sector grow and positively influence the economic impact of the arts in our community.
