The Randolph School Arts Department seeks to develop in all members of our community an appreciation for how and what the Arts reveal about an individual, culture, society, or period in history; an ability to express one’s own ideas and feelings; a passion for creation and performance; a greater level of artistic literacy; and a desire to connect to others through the Arts.
Randolph’s Thurber Arts Center, located on the Garth Road campus, has frequently opened its doors to the Huntsville Arts community and has been the site for numerous artistic connections. This venue has been the site for not only productions, exhibits, and concerts from our own school groups, but has also hosted numerous performance ensembles from the Huntsville community. These include the Army Materiel Command Band, Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Huntsville Library Association, Huntsville Community Chorus, Brass Band of Huntsville, and others.
Randolph’s commitment to community engagement in the Arts also includes participation by our students as groups and individuals in productions and exhibits around the Huntsville area, including Panoply, Youth Art Month, the HSO Family Concerts, Ars Nova, and Fantasy Playhouse.
Randolph School believes the Arts are meant to connect, challenge and change people. We are proud to be a member of the Huntsville Arts Council and to do our part in bringing performers and supporters of the Arts together in meaningful collaborations.
