Beer & Wine Tent

Back for Panoply 2014: the Beer & Wine Tent!

Panoply 2014 includes the return of craft beer and featured wines at the festival’s Beer and Wine Tent presented by Simple Helix. In a new location near the corner of Williams Avenue and Monroe Street in the main Panoply food court, this year’s Panoply Beer and Wine Tent offerings will include 14 brews on tap.

The lineup includes local brewers Below the Radar Brewhouse, Blue Pants Brewery, Old Black Bear Brewing Company, Straight to Ale and Yellowhammer Brewing as well as national brands New Belgium Brewing, Sweetwater Brewing Company, and Terrapin Beer Company. Angry Orchard Hard Cider will also be available on draft. All beers are $6. An age-verified wristband is required for beer and wine purchase, and wristbands are available for a $4 donation to The Arts Council. All proceeds benefit the non-profit Panoply Arts Festival.

The wine available for purchase at this year’s Panoply falls in line with the festival theme of celebrating the spark of innovation. Invented by James Martin, four varieties of Copa Di Vino will be featured in the Beer & Wine Tent. Mr. Martin was the first inventor to appear on NBC’s “Shark Tank” twice, refusing the offers made by the investors on the show both times. He went on to transform a former mill in the small town of The Dalles, Oregon into a winery, making portable wine by the glass a reality in just two short years. The patented glass-like container is made out of recycled plastic, and is opened easily with no corkscrew or special opener necessary. Four varieties of the wine will be available for purchase for $6 per glass at Panoply.
