HAPPENING AT The Valley Jubilee Stage at the 30th Annual Panoply Arts Festival ON Friday & Saturday, April 27 and 28, 2012 IN Big Spring International Park Downtown Huntsville, Alabama YOU PAY $50 per entry and YOU COULD WIN $500 in your category OR $1,000 Best Overall

• The competition will be held on the Valley Jubilee Stage in the Panoply Arts Festival at the corner of Williams & Monroe streets in downtown Huntsville, Alabama.
• The stage is a professionally installed wooden stage. It is 36’w x 28’d x 3’h with marley flooring, no wing space and two entrances upstage left and right.
• A professional sound system and a general lighting wash will be provided.
• Choreographer must be at least 18 years old
• Choreographers may perform in their own entries as well as other entries.
• Entries must be original choreography, not more than 3 years old, and not presented at Panoply in previous years. Pieces entered in the 2011 competition may be presented due to the cancellation of last year’s competition.
• Each entry must not be less than 2 minutes and not more than 12 minutes long. Entries that do not stay within time restraints will be disqualified.
• Performers must be at least 12 years of age. This is NOT an average age. 
• Music must be provided on a labeled and cued CD. 
• Entries are limited to 2 per category per choreographer. Categories are Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Other, which includes tap, hip-hop, Broadway, and lyrical.
• Judges reserve the right to move a piece to another category if they see fit.
• Contestants will be identified to judges by number and name of piece only.
• Choreography from any entry may not be changed after Friday’s elimination round. Any change in choreography or costumes presented in finals will result in disqualification.
• Honorable Mention recipients who fail to perform in the showcase Friday evening of the festival weekend will be penalized.
• Entries are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Entry deadline is FEBRUARY 10, 2012.

$1000 for Best Overall Choreography to be chosen from among finalists in all categories.
$500 per winner in each category: Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Other.
*In the event of a tie, the prize money will be evenly divided between the winners.
