Included in our current show—themed “Alabama History”—are several pieces covering structures both currently in use and lost to time, mill workers, downtown edifices (such as the Huntsville Opera House, which burnt in 1911), and area Alabamians going about their daily routines, both celebratory and commonplace.

This show, which lasts through June, features realistic, abstract, and photographic works from local professional and emerging artists, and coordinates with the Alabama Tourism Department’s “Year of Alabama History.”

Artists include Ryana Cherry, Judith Fields, Desiree Garner, John Hubbard, Linda Morton, Yuri Ozaki, Sam Tumminello, Markeitz Tyner, Katrina Weber, and Martavian White.  Also included are pictures of historic Huntsville on loan from the archives of the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library.

For further information, call (256) 529-2787 (ARTS), ext. 207.
