“The medium of watercolor allows me to wander through styles, constantly adapting to my moods and whims. The expediency of the medium provides a creative indulgence with near-term payoffs. The art of watercolors is a counterbalance to my technical/logical mind and a perfect complement to my short attention span.”
Scott has painted, off and on, for nearly 20 years, splitting time between hobbies and activities too numerous to mention. As competing interests have fallen by the wayside, he has been able to apply more time to the art and craft of painting. Scott studied with Huntsville artist Chuck Long, as well as national artists Keiko Tanabe, Dan Marshall, Michael Holter, Iain Stewart, and Todd Saal.
Scott’s art has been featured in the December 2018 issue of “The Lakeside Life” magazine, and also recently appeared in both the “Madison Living” and “256” magazines. He has permanent exhibitions at Brother’s on Smith Lake in Cullman, AL, as well as All Four Real Estate in Jasper, AL.
