PANOPLY® ARTS FESTIVAL

In 2007, 2008, and 2009, over 100,000 people enjoyed all the arts had to offer at the Panoply® Arts Festival.  Were YOU one of them?

Panoply—“The South’s Most All-Embracing ARTStravaganza—celebrates the arts with a wide array of performances, exhibits, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.  Thanks to the hard work, time, and effort of our numerous Panoply volunteers and generous sponsors, this festival is a success year after year!  This community event is held annually the last full weekend of April in downtown Huntsville’s Big Spring International Park and Von Braun Center.

There will be a variety of new and exciting activities offered at the festival, as well as many returning Panoply favorites.  Choose from an assortment of FREE make-n-take art activities for children and adults.  Relax and enjoy musical, dance, and theatrical stage performances from local as well as touring performers.  Shop in the Art Marketplace to kick off your own collection – or enhance the treasure trove of pieces you already own.  An array of artists and strolling performers will demonstrate their skills in the park, plus much, much more!  For more information, please visit the Panoply official website at www.panoply.org.

Then join us for the 30th Panoply Arts Festival, held Friday-Sunday, April 29 - 30 and May 1, 2011!

If you would like to become involved with Panoply by volunteering your time as a committee chairman, please contact TAC at (256) 519-2787 (ARTS) or jstewart@artshuntsville.org.  Being a part of the Panoply team takes a lot of work and time, but the reward is in knowing that you are giving back to your community and making new friendships while supporting the arts.  If you do not want to chair a committee, but want to volunteer a few hours during Panoply weekend, please send us an email and be sure to include your name, address, and all phone numbers where you can be reached in that email.

Panoply's Art Educator’s Tent showcases the work of artists who have actively taught art classes in public/private elementary and secondary schools or colleges/universities prior to April 2010.  The works of Jill Johnson, Cara Fuller, Natalie Cook, and Roxie Veasey will also be featured in the exhibit.

Each piece will be available for sale to the public at a price determined by the artist.  A percentage of each sale is retained by
