Concerts in the Park
FREE Summer Music Series

Join us beginning Monday, June 7 as we kick off our 2010 round of CitP - TEN FREE Concerts in all!
Each Monday night—through August 9—audiences can enjoy an eclectic blend of tunes,
from jazz to rock-n-roll, in an al fresco setting!  The majority of our concerts are held at the south
end of downtown Huntsville’s beautiful
Big Spring International Park (near the gazebo and eternal flame).

Those who attend are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and a picnic…you’ll really enjoy this
casual evening of entertainment!  Some of our concerts will include
fireworks displays
, as announced!

NOTE that 2010's list of performing artists is currently TBA.  Check back for updates!

Our FREE summer “Serenades under the Stars” are

open to the public and run from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

In the event of inclement weather, decisions regarding cancellations (or relocations) of Concerts are not made until between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.  Listen to your local radio or TV stations for cancellation or other applicable notices!

Our popular Media/Publicity Workshop Returns...

The Arts Council, Inc. (TAC) announces the return of “BOOST YOUR BUZZ!”TAC’s well-received Annual Publicity Workshop—to be held on Wednesday, 28 October from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

This year's class is on the MOVE and will be held in Room # 131 of the UAHuntsville (UAH) University Center, located on University Circle, NW (just off Ben Graves Drive).  Signup begins at 8:30.

The agenda boasts a panel of experts from print, radio, TV, social media, and the web primed to give any organization the scoop on how to get your news out there – it’s a chance to meet many familiar faces (or to put faces with names) from our local media!  All workshop participants will receive the 2009-2010 Media Guide, an annually updated, ready listing of all area publicity outlets.  And who knows…you may win a door prize.

The workshop fee is $20 per attendee for TAC Members and $35 per attendee for non-TAC members.  This is a very popular class; advance reservations are REQUIRED!  The deadline is Friday, 23 October.  Further information is available by calling (256) 519-ARTS (2787).  You can download the flyer/application here.
